When you leave the Kaleidoscope, you are sent to the real world, revealing what really happened. While leaving, mama tells you to "don't leave her", making you want to come back, but also ignore. Where do we see this? We see an example in the new "Mama Jumpscare" showing Mama leaping out with rainbow eyes, while the screen rotates.
The term "Kaleidoscope" is a constantly changing pattern or sequence of objects or elements, or a pattern of colors around a certain object. All seems fine when Tattletail tells a joke, an orange knock-knock joke, with Mama jumpscaring reminding the player she's still there.
Assuming this is the first version of the commercial, when Mama wasn't banned, after watching it takes you to the first night. It has a new tone, new voice, new lyrics, and Mama is not evil. Watching the VHS tape (the one you banished on Christmas eve) will show the Tattletail Public Commercial, but this time different. You'll also find the VHS tape you banished, which is revealed to be the thing overwriting your memories. You'll also see a disabled Mama, probably being the one you banished on Christmas Eve. If you look around, you'll see two tattletails the black Tattletail (named NightNight), and the silver Tattletail (named Snowglobe?), both defective, forgotten. The Kaleidoscope is a place where forgotten things go, and that's what you see. The Kaleidoscope itself, I believe, is a version of the house, memories are stored there. If you go to the Kaleidoscope, you'll be able to recover your memories. It's then when you have to make a choice: go to bed, or enter the Kaleidoscope. The person sending the letters tell you that Tattletail will be boring forever if you don't fix your VHS memories. Your protagonist attempts to remember what happened before Christmas, only for those memories to be tampered with. The nights leading to Christmas were real. The letters only tell you that "That's not what happened Christmas 1998." Meaning that's not how it ended. But was it all Really a dream? I believe not. January 23rd Two Years Later The Tattletails Were Selling Like Crazy With The Same Complaints Over And Over Again So They Decided To Take Out The Sibling Creation And Fix The Dada Tattletail So After That Was Done The Tattletails Should Interact With Dada Tattletail So They Turned It On And They Did What They Were Supposed To Do But Then They Started Whispering About Somthing And The Chant Started Again Dada Joined In Too 'No More Mama! No More Mama! No More Mama!' The Company Had It The Next Person To Give A Complaint Would Have The Three Creations.Alright, in the Kaleidoscope DLC for Tattletail, we have a new story, the "everything we did in Tattletail was a dream" story.
Backstory To Creation: November 27th Hundreds Of Tattletails Were Selling Then There Were Complaints That There Only Came One So The Person Who Bought It Had To Buy Another One Doubling The Cost So Waygetter Factory Decided That They Should Make A New Tattletail Brand The Sibling Tattletail One That Comes With Two So They Went Straight To Work And The First Sibling Tattletails Were Created Jae Her Sister Ella But Before They Put Them Up For Sale They Tested It Everything Worked Well They Interacted With Eachother Like They Made It To Do Then They Stopped And Started A Chant 'No More Mama! No More Mama! No More Mama!' And Kept Going Then Paused They Remembered The Abandoned Creation Mama And Dada Then Ella And Jae Stared At There Creator And Said Another This 'Dada Saves Us From Mama' Then They Shut Off The Creations And Scrapped The Idea Locking Them Away Forever.
